This is a very common challenge for people who have a mental illness and those who love them. Sometimes it's because of one of the symptoms of mental illness, anosognosia, which is that the brain actually blocks the person from knowing they are sick. And other times it is from a number of issues - the diagnosis is not correct, the meds are not a good fit due to side effects or they have not significantly reduced symptoms, etc. In this podcast I cover all of these issues and how to address them.
